CEN-CENELEC Workshop Agreement on Materials Characterisation published
NanoBat contributing to CWA 17815:2021 on "Materials characterisation - Terminology, metadata and classification"
The CEN-CENELEC Workshop Agreement CWA 17815:2021 on "Materials characterisation - Terminology, metadata and classification" with contributions from QWED and the H2020 NanoBat project has been published on October 27, 2021 and is available for free from the CEN download area or directly under this link.
The Workshop was organised by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the H2020 OYSTER project, and supported by the European Materials Modelling and Characterization Councils. The CWA develops standardised terminology and workflows that will improve future exchanges among experts in the entire area of materials characterisation, facilitate the exchange with industrial end-users and experimentalists and reduce the barrier to utilising advanced materials characterisation. The NanoBat project was represented at the Workshop by Gerald Kada, Ferry Kienberger, and Nawfal Al Zubaidi Smith (KEYS/JKU), and Malgorzata Celuch (QWED). QWED contributions were related to its electromagnetic characterisation and modelling competences as well as the activites within the EMMC FA1 and FA2.
CEN, the European Committee for Standardization, is an association that brings together the National Standardization Bodies of 34 European countries. CEN provides a platform for the development of European Standards and other technical documents in relation to various kinds of products, materials, services and processes.
CENELEC, the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization, is an association that brings together the National Electrotechnical Committees of 34 European countries. CENELEC prepares voluntary standards in the electrotechnical field, which help facilitate trade between countries, create new markets, cut compliance costs and support the development of a Single European Market.
